There are strict rules to obtain a spouse visa currently. You have to have a stable job, a place to live, show that your marriage is legal and real, your spouse needs to pass an english test and you need to have lots and lots of money.
Just the basic is that you need an income of £18,600 per annum, and have been working in that job for at least a period of six months, before you can even apply.
The language requirement is the ILETS A1 Life Skills, and this test needs to be taken in a official place that is approved by the Home Office.
The Application itself cost over £1, 500 pounds and the waiting time is long, depending on the country you are applying from, you can pay an extra fee of £500 to speed things up, but it doesn’t speed up as much as you would like it to be for that amount of money.
